I dont know why NO ONE IS UPDatING
but i want to share this with you
its quite cool it happened just on Wednesday
my friend was having gastric flu the whole day and it hurt really badly for her but she still came to school because of chemistry practical(if you dont go for chem pract you gotta make up on sat morns. and no one wants to do that lah of course).
at first i was like. okay maybe i can just be a normal person and just care for her. like are you okay? and try to look out for her. but when i looked around. i realised. hey as a normal person you can only offer her sympathetic words. But HEY. DOn't i have God with me? With God I can do more than the average person. I can pray and relieve that person of the pain.
so I just took a step of faith and asked her whether I could pray for her. of course she was like. quite embarassed and all by some girl wanting to lay her hand on her. But you know what, a few momemnts later she was like no harm right. so she relented. after i prayed for her. (actually that day i didnt feell like praying at all but i guess something greater than myself took over) i asked her how she was feeling. she said she felt the same. but somehow I was filled with FAITH. SO i told her. NO BY FAITH BELIEVE. YOU WILL BE HEALED.
i tell you she sat next to me for chemistry prac and in the middle of prac she told me that she really felt better.
Yes
GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD
He reigns from heaven above
with wisdom power and love
OUr God is an awesome God

Look to HIm for strength this week and HE will give to you. IF you have faith as small as a mustard seed , you can move mountains. Be sure to give Glory to HIM.

heyhey!!! GRACE [finally] SPEAKS:

haha. i kind of havent shared finish my testimony yet right.. but dont have time to type everything here. baaah. i've been busy volunteering my service at Worldvision. in case you dont know what is that, its a christian organisation that helps the third world country families. wow, i think God gave me a heart for the poor families when i was volunteering there. there was one poster that left the deepest impression on me. i'll try to describe it.. there are pictures of the little children in the third world country, happy faces yet miserable look in their eyes. and the words that were in bold: FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD BELONGS TO SUCH AS THESE. the poster is so heart wrenching. i mean, God's kingdom belongs to us and belongs to them as well!! them who are living in poverty and hunger. and we?? in air-con!! gosh. what injustice! so one of the goal of Worldvision is to seek justice for these ppl by providing them with daily necessities, etc.. i share this vision man!!! hahaha. and i told our friendly person-in-charge that i'm definitely gonna return back to Worldvision to help. haha, hopefully in a more value-added way like being one of their MISSIONARY DOCTORS!!! [fellow doctor-to-be Soks, i'm gonna rope you in too. watch out. hahaha.] and this is the message that i personally want to bring to them and pray it will bring them hope in the midst of their harsh environment:

"Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?" -- James 2:5

yupp.. i received a lot from Worldvision throughout the whole week of volunteering. oh esp yesterday when i was talking to this lady called Susan from New Creations Church. i think she's a retiree and regular volunteer at Worldvision. but anyways, it started with an urge to talk to her. haha. dont ask me why. ask the Holy Spirit. we were doing stuff on the same table, and i just felt that she somehow has gone thru a lot in life and has a lot of things to share and a lot of things that i can learn from her. so it started with an innocent qns that i asked her, "how do you know if something is really God's will for you??" and she said that it is the Holy Spirit that is living in us that will guide us. we need not rely too much on our own strength, because then we'll grow weary easily. but instead, we should leave it to the Holy Spirit. if something is not God's will, then there will be an uneasy feeling. then i cant remember what we were talking about.. but the topic was changed to knowing God's character. one of which is, whatever we do, we can be certain that God will still love us. and we must grasp thst fact, and be sure of our position in Christ. then only will we live a life to its fullness.

how then can we be good testimonies for Christ, especially in front of our oikos?? you know sometimes i find it so frustrating that i cant live up to my own expectations of what it means to be a good testimony, then i'll blame myself for doing those ungodly things (eg. joining in during gossip time or something). then i heard something that no one told me before---to just be who you are. a lot of times, i try my best to guard my mouth, ears, thoughts, etc and until i find it so difficult to be a good testimony. but i guess what Susan said was true. to just be myself! HOWEVER, also making my stand clear when dealing with things that displeases God
(eg. dirty jokes, vulgarities). its okae to have slip-ups occassionally, because i am not perfect! knowing that God has forgiven me of my sin when Jesus Himself became sin and died on the cross for me, and knowing that He still loves me.. that's enough! we are the recipients and God is the giver. so recieve love and forgiveness from Him. the special thing about God is that when we drink from His river, we will not feel thirsty anymore. [sidenote: ever wondered why Jesus said, "come to Me all ye weary and heavy laden?" -->there must be something special about Him!] only when we have received enough from Him, then will it be possible to flow out naturally from us. and it is this---the natural outflow from our hearts---that will be the true testimony that can bring glory to God. only when we've received, can we then speak forth life to others. we dont have to try so hard with our own strength, because it will come naturally when we ourselves receive from the Lord. wow, i think Susan herself is a good testimony of her response to my qns. this really ministered to me because i've grown so tired of having to try my best to be a good testimony for God esp in sch. i will always be so afraid that i will stumble and say or do something wrong and it will leave a wrong impression on my pre-believer friends. my prayer for all of us is that we will continue to receive from the Lord and may we pour out love sincerely which comes from our hearts and not from obligation.

oh yes, Susan also told me to meditate on what it means to be IN CHRIST and having CHRIST IN ME. i havent got any revelations yet.. haha. open to discussion!! what do you all think?? what does it mean to be in Christ and having Christ in me??

Hello guys. I just wanna encourage you guys to SHARE WHAT GOD HAS DONE IN YOUR LIFE THROUGH THIS BLOG. You might never know who would stumble upon this place and be touched by what God has done in your life. Because whatever God does in our lives, God CAN ALSO DO FOR THEM.
Yes, our God is great amen?! AMEN!

yes I agree with you Kai Xin. Initially i thought my sister was a killjoy and acting so nonchalant (actually i still think she was a killjoy) but we all must stick together. Be accountable to the leaders, sps, prayer buddies. Make it a daily decision to rid yourself of any sins in our lives and pray and seek God DAILY. Its going to be even more difficult to do so when school starts so make the habit now. I believe that if we all stand firm and equip ourselves with the armor of us with each one of us by our sides we can do it YES!
I've never seen the cell so alive for quite some time now so i'm excited! See you guys on Sunday. In the meantime, have fun!

i am glad that i survived it or rather still surviving. its the constant reminder of how important prayer is and how important it is to be accountable to your leaders. thanks yve. =D its also important to keep your eyes focused on GOD.

yup, just wanna let you guys know and be aware of what the devil will be trying to do. yup. as what yve has said, when he reminds of us of our past, our hurts, remind him of his future. yeah amen! =D

oh yes. and do understand that we are on the right track with what God is intending. and the devil will try anything to stop or derail us. so yup, stay rooted in His word and keep focused on Him!

even my family is under attack. yeah. its a real war. =

but we've got God with us amen? =)

yep, keep praying yah? and proclaiming His name. =D

during yas yesterday, when the worship team was leading the song 'still' during worship, i suddenly had this feeling that next year will be a very messy year for me. i didn;t know if that feeling was a revelation from God of was it a product of my own imaginations and fears so i asked God to reassure me, in any way, that it is from Him. It was no voice from heaven but God placed an excitement in me for the coming year which replaced my initial fears and dread. He also gave me faith and courage to put my studies in His hand. This is unusual for me for i have always been a person of little faith with the mentality of "what if God doesn't catch me when i fall?" so it is a breakthrough in my level of faith and i guess, in a way, communication with God 9woohoo, better reception =) ) so yeah......praise God -dances kooky dance-

i think its great. like to return whenever i want to. never saying bye actually. hahah just that when i feel that i have to give GOD all the glory, i will.

man. God has given me much shocks throughout the camp yet, at the same time, when i think back, God has been preparing my heart to hear from Him. contradicting but yet, cool. ha. cldnt think of another word to describe.

its just the way God works. its awesome. church camps are always good. yah but there is always this downhill part after it right? and i seriously hope that this time, it wun happen. that we the campers will keep the flame burning. as God has started His miraculous works in us. let Him complete it. dun stop.

the first shock. God made me a group leader. yeah. though i expected it. i told this to bro kahfai when he called me. =)
sounds proud but true. you know its coming. yet you still dun want to accept it. i remember getting all freaked out the day before camp after the two briefings, at black canyon. i kept asking ym and jean and mana. HOW???
but yah. i am glad i freaked out then. went back to pray and seek God. for His plans for the group and for myself. and God just starting the fire or FIRRREEE in me. i just caught the flame and desire for and from God. i wasnt afraid anymore.

the day came. it was pretty funny. how you gotta look out for your people. i always look back and stand in awe of how God works. =) He has changed the lives of the members. amazing. how people can rededicate, and find their way back to God. i never sense the acheivement of being a leader for God till i saw how much nico (=D- still brings a smile on my face, the naughty yet funny guy) changed. how much he grew. its amazing.
its tiring being a group leader but definitely satisfying. and its true that as you pour out more, God will really bless you back more. i learnt so much through the camp. God's calling. still accepting it. its scary but talked to sis jo abt it. step out in faith. God has spoken and yah. i've chosen to obey. so there is nth much left to hold back. its gonna be difficult like what p. gary says. but yah, trust in God and He will use me mightily. p.s: MIGHTY ROCKS BIG TIME

its great to be used by God though the process of emptying yourself is painful and difficult. i think i am ready for it.
Just keep doing the little things for God. He will reveal even more when my heart is ready and when His timing has come.

but i thank God for placing me where i am. giving me a dream of His so big and amazing that i still have difficulty coming to terms with it. the inadequacies and everything just comes. but take the STEP OF FAITH.
gotta learn to humble myself too. God has been using bball to teach me. and i know its gonna be more difficult than ever. but here i am God. SEND ME.

and i am hoping that we the army of God will rise up stronger than ever and take hold of this generation. claiming it back for God.
its wonderful to serve the GREATEST KING. remember, your treasures are in heaven. i dream of one day to stand before God and say, Lord, i've done my best in what you have asked me too. and i yearn to hear Good job my child.

Christmas is coming. don't forget the greatest gift and the whole idea of christmas- JESUS.

Ahoy cell-mateys! :) Yeah i FINALLY managed to access this site. Hmm...it's rather EMPTY rite now so...just a reminder for ya'll wad this is all for.

This blog is for everyone n anyone in xin dongxi cell to post their prayer requests, testimonies, anything to encourage us in the cell, or stuff you just want to share but feel more like blogging than talking.

I myself am not a blogger-type. i prefer to write/talk/sing. haha. (can u tell??) but since we've got this lets make full use of it to build each other up in Christ n to keep each other in prayer. okie dokie?? :)

yup n maybe to start e ball rolling, u can pray for the upcoming WORSHIP EXPERIENCE on 10th sep which we'll be going for (yay!! N I'm serving again! N even better - Yingmin is serving in e choir too!). N also pray for vision rally this wkend. Yup, n do pray for me too (yesh your cell leader needs prayer too). Been pretty stressed lately, n keep praying for my back. e pain is a whole lot better (praise God!) but still believing for a COMPLETE healing. Uh-huh. :)
